Is There a Genealogical Account of Why People Believe What They Do?
A genealogical account of why people believe what they do doesn't show that those beliefs are false, he says. If the mere fact of there being a genealogy of your belief undermines your belief, then we're going to end up having no justified beliefs. The challenge therefore, for the person who wants to use a particular genealogical story to debunk a belief or system of beliefs, is to give an account of why that particular gene ancestry has a debunking force.
