The Kalahari tribe of natives, the tribal people in the Kalahari desert, use feelings to help them find their way through the meanings of the world. William Stafford, the poet, talked about that a lot. He would be going along and all of a sudden, something would catch his feeling attention. And he would turn to it and then begin to write poetry about it.
