Symptomatic Bacteria in Elderly Patients
The main definition is that you want to have, for catheter associated UTIs, you have fever, you have a catheter, and you have a positive urine culture. Symptoms have always been difficult to describe because you can have other things that can mask those symptoms. For example, someone who's dehydrated can actually have instrumental status, but not necessarily have fever.
