The Digital Panopticon: A New Paradigm for Risk Management

I want to talk a little bit about what the algorithmic society looks like and how that's different. I think perhaps this falls into that notion of like the digital panopticon or something so if we can sort of data collected these massive scales and use algorithms to analyze that data, it could be used for pre-crime in some way. These flows of information are now kind of becoming mobilized against us again according to McKinsey work. It is the logic of the derivative yes that is kind of in there because what is the derivative it's literally hedging your bets right?
