The Grammar of a Sentence
When painting a picture, you start at the bottom and top down. The words that you're reading tell you how to put things together in a new way. And this is where you use not the bottom up but the top down. You know things about cats that you've brought from all of your experiences. So what's most likely thing that it could mean for a cat to climb out of a mail shoot? Well probably it crawled out head first and probably it used its front paws to pull itself out. That wasn't in the sentence. That was in what you know about the world.
