Margaret Thatcher's Record on the European Single Market Act
Mrs Thatcher embodies contradictions between pragmatism and neuroskepticism. She believed in sovereignty and became more and more to believe in sovereignty towards the end of her premiership. But she's obviously also responsible for the deepest giveaway of sovereignty, if you like, with the European Single Market Act which we have now left. So again, in favor of pragmatism about this, instead of pure milk or prexity or doctrine, it damages us rather than helps us.
