College Isn't Teaching Skills

There's a growing body of evidence among economists that college isn't actually imparting skills. They call this the signaling theory The idea is that colleges Select people who are already great at ripping apart arguments reading writing whatever But what's more is that they're providing a four-year program where at great expense someone is willing to take assignments finish them get them done on time And that allows the labor market to just sort people easier.
