The Importance of Being Reliable
Safeness evokes endorphins and oxytocin whereas safety is about getting rid of a threat so it would be about things like adrenaline, heart rate. As long as the threat isn't there then things are safe but as soon as the threat comes back it's not - that really quite specifically is not a trusting relationship. It sounds like if you can acknowledge somebody's fear or need for safeness that gives them safeness or can do. So an empathetic response in a way.
