The Backlash Was Justifiable
Karisan: I think in my case specifically, people took that narrative to be something that I am mandating on. When an employer says it, it reflects that he's probably baking his people who are getting ours. So their angst was justified because context was totally different. And now it's justified because it's Hey, I'm a little bit of a real issue. My factory is my, there is abuse. We have 10 jobs. Maybe someone doesn't have someone is genuinely making a honest living in on the shop floor of a factory. But it's getting hammered for putting in six hours extra without getting paid for it. A lot of the comments were, do you pay overtime?
