Open AI has been going around billing this thing as an all knowing Godlike thing, right? They're not saying, hey, you can, they haven't gone out of their way to tell you. But then you have these people who are talking about how they want to use these chapas in Supreme Court. Unethically, very clearly. So now you have open AI who can make tons of money because it's not going to be free.

Paris Marx is joined by Timnit Gebru to discuss the misleading framings of artificial intelligence, her experience of getting fired by Google in a very public way, and why we need to avoid getting distracted by all the hype around ChatGPT and AI image tools.
