The Role of Ethics in Legacy

Chris: What we learn generation by generation is that what seems entirely morally appropriate or ethically sound to one generation ends up looking quite differently for future generations. Wendy: Even if you are getting it right by everyone's lights at this place and time it's perfectly possible that future generations might look back on some of what you're doing and say, wow, you didn't see this and maybe you should have. And so I think that that humility is really important guiding principle in trying to get it right but also recognizing at no point in time have we probably figured all the moral truths out.
