Do You See Echoes in Jefferson's Contradictions?

As a child and et, you were the first african american to integrate your schoolad. I'm wondering, in studying the life of thomas jefferson, do you see echoes in the contradictions that he had in the present day? To some of the contradictions that he struggled with and perhaps ignored or rationalized, are they still alive with us to day? Oh, i think they're very much alive. The fascinating thing about jefferson is that, in some ways, he embodies the country. But yet, we hold ourselves out as a melting pot. So yes, a lot of jefferson's contradictions are alive in us....
