The Importance of Adaptation in Heart Surgery
There's some anecdotal evidence about heart transplant patients also seeming to take on some of the characteristics of the person whose heart they got. I have heard and seen that people who have heart surgery frequently get, well, heart sick. So you can make adaptations when parts are missing but it's an adaptation. It's not a full survival. And by and large we don't have any extra parts.
