What Is a Web Browser?

The web browser is built around the idea of a client and a server. So if you are using a web browser to visit a web page, there is somewhere in the world a computer that has all that information on it. And it gets the request from your browser, the client, and says, all right, well, here's what you ask for, and sends it across the internet. Your browser is in charge of displaying that information in some way that hopefully is useful and informative.
