The Quality of Carisma in King David
The book has been optioned as a hollywood film. Many people who go to your synagogue are involved in show business in some way, directly or indirectly. There's a vaudeville a dimension to your back story. And so i think for david too, the fact that when he was young, already he was outstripping saul, who was the king, induced a certain like headiness and vertigo. That quality of carisma encourages a certain artificiality, because it gets results all out of proportion to its effort.
