The Fire Break

The process starts in the fall, right about now. Just after the harvest, nicholas lays straw over his fields that will get packed into the ground to fuel the fire come spring. The day's got to be dry, but not too dry. And a little wind helps, but too much can be dangerous. There is also this point of finch almost release, where nothing can be done by jistrust tat the permiter all and it does.
