The Lord's Jealousy for His People and His Land

The trumpet blast is a summons to an appointed fast and solemn assembly. No one is to be excused, even those who have just got married. Verse 18 does present some challenges for the interpreter. Has something happened off the stage of the text? Or is this another predictive statement within the frame of the initial prophecy itself? Whatever determine, the lord's jealousy for his people and his land means that he will not let them go. He loves them.
