Energy Efficiency

Despite substantial energy efficiency gains in the past few decades, we as a species are using more energy than we have pretty much forever. And emissions wildly surp s r or the earth's ability to handle them. Despite positive progress in 20 countries whose economies have grown over the last decade and their emissions have declined, growth and energy used from fossil fuel sources is still out pacing the rise of low carbon activities. A robust global economy insufficient emission reductions in developed countries and a need for incre energy use in developing countries will continue to put upward pressure on c omissions.
