Do You Have a Grade in Your Portfolio?

I think it's terribly disingenuous. I'd like to buy you a beer sometime and talk about this because one of the things I really rail against is the idea of and not the way you're doing it. The anti-grading movement that happened in comp for a long time with the idea that, well, we'll let students write drafts and write papers and we won't grade them,. We'll just give them feedback and then we'll maybe put a portfolio together. But at the end, we're still going to put a grade on it.
