The Pleasure of Killing
The act of hunting, it begins as a utilitarian pursuit of an organism. But over time, all of the activities or behaviors which an organism does in the ones which produce the same result every time begin to be beneficial. They generate a sense of pleasure all on their own because this is how the instincts or the drives reinforce themselves. And so for the leopard or any predatory species, really, it's a pleasure to hunt down and kill prey. It's killing for the pleasure of killing, which presents an uncomfortable reality within nature that one must confront.
