Trauma Care - Is There a Difference in Practice?

The E-Trust study was sent out to intensive care physicians across Europe that were involved in trauma. The questionnaire revealed a wide variety of practice which significantly differed to the current guidelines. In no way would this questionnaire be able to work out whether or not there was an effect on patient outcomes by the fact that we all deviate in our practice of trauma patients. But it's really interesting to think at a time when guidelines and evidence-based medicine is so popular, such a wide variety has emerged.
