Is Wave a Better Way to Record?

Mike used to use a trashcammac pro, and it would sometimes completely lock up during recording. The only for me to be able to use my computer again was to power it down forcibly rit times. If i was recording in an m p three or something like that, would i would lose the audio. So i started recording in wave, because whatever's being written to the file is just where the file will end if power cut - so every single sample is in file. In the end, disk space isn't an issue for us. These are big files, but they're not enormous. And arenernets vast enough.
