The Future of Artificial Intelligence

AI has not yet had a very large impact on the world. If you were to wake up tomorrow and all of the progress of the past 10 or 20 years were to be undone, your life would not change that much. There's lots of things that AI systems could do that allow them to get beyond the constraints that our brains have as things that need to fit inside of schools. For example, software performs better than humans at many tasks like long division, chess, predicting the structure of proteins.
