The Importance of Prayer in the Intellectual Life
Prayer is an important preparation for all kinds of activities, including study and teaching. Saint thomas says one may pray continually by reason of effect in the person who prays because he remains more devout even after praying. Tancora: There's a danger of focusing so intently on what human reason is theoretically capable of achieving that we can lose sight of how god assists it.
