The Unreliable Narrator
The unreliable narrator nature of this history book leaves so much room to play and actually necessitates examining what account would have been passed down. Luke's accidental death by wayward dragon just neuters the character of amen and the story sure it's all the more tragic but it also feels like weak storytelling characters are just reacting to the world around them instead of taking action on their own.
