What Is the Benefit of the Titanium Staple?

In the middle ages, of course, we had people being operated on by barbers. Presumably people were doing cind of medical stitching at that time. So why does your doctor decide on the the staples rather than the stitches? I think it really comes down to speed. If a surgeon can get away with doing something clean and fast and safely, they're obviously going to take that route. And obviously it's cooler, which is what i had. It's cooler. But when he came to speak to me the next day, i perhaps wasn't as compsmentous as i would be normally.

Presumably

people were doing cind of medical stitching at that time. Imean, if people had wounds, i don't kno anything about it, but did people liketo stitch wounds together then? Well,
Speaker 1
we start seeing, i think, medical stitches and stuffs, certainly from the middle ages. In the middle ages, of course, we had people being operated on by barbers. You know when you see the red and white pol outside a barber's shop? And this amuses me, i think, as well. Case with barbers o caref you had barbers back then doing things like rudimentary amputations, which they did. I had my teen aged son only the other day complaining to me, when he went to the barber's that he went in and asked for like, an inch off his fringe, and they took off two inches. So imagine going in to have like a tow out.

I thought you could stay on thegahis legsa,
Speaker 1
you could have gone in in the middle ageas got. I just leave the pinky taking off, and you went up without a foot. You know, ye,
Speaker 2
i have nightmares about the midde ages. Please don't make me go back in time and get sick in the middle ages, cause that bad thing's happened. Can we just talk about your small intestine? Just, can we return to that quickly? So why does your doctor decide on the the staples rather than the stitches? I'm wondering, thatey can a benefit of the titanium staple other thann that it was cool.
Speaker 1
So i have to say, i don't have the complete answer to this. Cas when he came to speak to me the next day, i perhaps wasn't as compsmentous as i would be normally. But my understanding is that when you use one of these titanian staple firing devices, so you're firing at staples in a circle, basicall. It's a really amazing bit of kit. They're all going in at the same time. And it's speed, basically. I think it really comes down to speed. Now, there are some instances, apparently, where suitures are preferred for certain complications. That arrive. But generally, if a surgeon can get away with doing something clean and fast and safely, they're obviously going to take that route. And i think that was the rot. And obviously it's cooler, which is what i had. It's

cooler.
