Nobell prize winning bio chemist jenifer daudna's work on crispber marked a new chapter our ability to alter our dna. She called for an international moratorium on applying crisper to human embryos, at least until the scientific community considered all the ethical implications of jean editing. i think it really did galvanize the international community to realize that this type of work really shouldn't be happening right now.
