The True Meaning of Trauma
The first emotion that really came to me was guilt. I knew for a certainty that death was coming and there was no way around it. It's extremely hard to reset how you view your entire world in order to get to a place where you can at least function like a relatively normal person. The hardest thing amongst things, the entire journey of survival is that guilt, survivor's guilt is so strong. Like I get that all the time. That's why it's about my recovery. It's about how I had to put one foot in front of the other to actually reclaim my life"
