The Future of Widgets
In September, we're going to see a lot of existing widgets from our favorite apps be rethought for interactivity. This is something that you can already see with the built-in apps on iOS like reminders. The ability to have buttons means that a widget could have multiple views now. I think there's a lot of room here to actually make widgets deeper experiences than they are at the moment.
