Is There a Token on a Smart Contract?

i love this idea of decentralized money, permissionless money, pure to pure transactions. Could the token be the unit of measure that the interneta was always looking for? I don't think that'll ever happen, nor do we want that to happen. But are there parts that could be decentralized, where a content creator can take charge of their business model and have some control over it instead of being beholden to you to paying me or spotify paying me. Yes. That is what a conten creator can do with the token, if you trust em, and if you get to whatever you lieve.
