TypeScript - Multiple if Statements vs Switch Statements

The code of mine that ends up failing the most is when you're trying to get too fancy with your if statements. If I have like what's like called anenum in TypeScript where it's a list of very clear possible options, I might opt for a switch. But almost always I will opt for multiple if statements. And even with like an if else, sometimes just prefer single if statements with returns inside of them. The JSX style, turnary in your templating language to me, it made sense in react land and now I don't have to do it anymore.
