The Story of Sara O Centre Stage

Sara O was a theatre owner in France during the Second World War. She saved her baby from an apartment fire and then lost everything she owned when it went up in flames. When war broke out, she decided to open a military hospital for injured soldiers. Sara helped raise funds by selling barrels of wine and liquor amedicinal 30 thousand eggs. Her story is told on this week's episode of The Hour at 10pm ET/PT tonight on Channel 4.
