There absolutely were conspiracy theories that were circulating at the time um Alex Jones was always on the pandemic beat whenever something sprung up in the news. In 2009 it didn't have the same level of politicization in part because there was just a lot going on in 2009 people were focusing on the potentially passing of the ACA you had the tea party movement emerging at the time we had the global financial meltdownUm hounds of crisis there was there was plenty for people to worry about and to spin up conspiracy theories about swine flu.
