The Importance of Hope in Love Stories
Hope is something we're not very good at in our culture. I try to infuse the stories with hope and part of the reason that I use love story to do that is because I think it's very nourishing for us, right? "I can not imagine ever writing a story that doesn't have love story," she says. 'You literally cannot be surprised by something you're anticipating'
