The Welton Ideal Is Just Like No Feelings Ever
The book opens with a parade of the values of the school, which are basically like, conformity and fashism. And we really begin to understand that the welton ideal is just like no feelings ever, except school spirit. It's about human beings having emotions, being young and having emotions, and realizing that your emotions don't really mesh with what the expectations are around you.
