Jack Parsons and Marcus Foreman were working at Hercules powder company in California. They discovered they weren't the only ones obsessed with rocketry. Cal Tech was founded by a man who was already mixing science with mysticism long before Jack Parsons had done so. It also had Albert Einstein and Robert Oppenheimer, whose perspective works would lead to the creation of the atomic bomb.
