Leonardo's Most Famous Mural - The Last Supper

Leonardo drew terrifying military contraptions, such as a chariot with huge spinning blades to slice the enemy's soldiers in half. The duke of milan commissioned him to paint portraits, stage elaborate theatrical pageants and famously cast a colossal bronze statue of his father on a horse. Most important commission for leonardo though was a religious mural for the refectory in the church of santa maria del grazia in milan. It showed jesus christ sitting at a long table surrounded by his 12 apostles, capturing the moment he announced that one of them was about to betray him.
