Clinical Signs of Pulmonary Hypertension in Patients With Mitral Regurgitation

Pulmonary hypertension is often mentioned as a complication of chronic severe mitral regurgitation. Thankfully rare because we've got so much alert to primary care and so good access to echo, we pick it up early. It's quite unusual now to have significant pulmonary hypertension at the time of presentation. We've seen it regrettably a little bit more in the last two years because of Covid and lack of access to echo and any type of healthcare service.
