What Makes Something a Good Thing?

Plato was talking about whether poetry is a good thing or not. Aristotle, for the most part, is talking about what makes something a good poem. It's important to see that these are not exactly the same questions. While disagreeing that good methods of torture are good things, it's not good that there are good method of torture around.
