Kathleen's autopsy shows she had a fracture of the left superior corneu in the thyroid cartilage in her neck. This causes some people to believe that Kathleen was strangled. The highoid bone, which usually is a sign of compression on the neck and during a string of injuries like this, can also be fractured. But no one mentioned anything about strangulation or ligature marks around it in the autopsy.
