The Crisis of Human Freedom and Detachment
Bart takes Paul's language, switches the terms of discussion and then makes it about the lack of human epistemic capabilities with regard to eternity. The words for forgiveness do not appear in Romans except once in Romans 4-7. Alice Demograph reasons that Bart has an inordinate stress on epistemological matters rather than those soteo-ereological which he thinks are in Paul. And then we turn to his account of Israel in Romans 9 to 11.
