Reading for Pleasure

i'm reading my way through the novels of walter scott, belatedly at the moment. But that's pure unmitigated pleasure. I read on knowing thai'll quickly enter some new and exciting passage. And even if there are occasional longers, which all nineteenth century novelists are committed,. i, i, i don't hold it against scott. The only book i didn't finish as a boy was chil n of the new forest by captain marriot when i was about 12.
