Is Clinical Depression a Better Target for Con Artists?
Do you think a person who is clinically depressed is a harder mark because they have a more realistic view of themselves in the world? You know, that's actually it's a really good question. And I wasn't able to find any data on it, because there aren't very many studies of clinically depressed individuals who become victims of con artists. We do know that depression actually makes you a better target, but that's not clinical depression. That's someone who's going through kind of a traumatic experience - death or divorce or loss of a job.
