How to Save Money for Things

Lindsay and her husband are trying to decide what makes more sense. They could pay off their student loan debt at 6.8% interest, but it is tax deductible. Or do we pay down the mortgage to get rid of the PMI? We still have over $20,000 to get to get that 20% equity in the mortgage. But they only have about 5,000 savings currently.
