Slavery and the Anglo Sphere
The west, and especially the anglo sphere, adopted a view about slavery that grew out of their view of themselves. It they wanted slaves to be freed for the same reason that they wanted themselves to obey the law. So tat they identified with, with the tradition of criticism in preference to their own particular views. And that there's tisa, nice quote from paupar as well.
