The Tradition of Lager With Curry
In 1926, one of the oldest Indian restaurants opened on Regent Street. One of their earliest patrons was Prince Axel of Denmark. He enjoyed it so much that he sent them an entire barrel of Karlsberg lager. And they then started to sell it as an accompaniment. That's where the tradition of lager with curry comes from. But you can't have red wine with curry: "Never works"
