The Pacific Northwest: A Synthetic Story of an Across the World
North America is not a bad frame to take, but it has its limits. I wonder how different the story would have looked if he included Mesoamerica or if he included more with the Caribbean. The expansion of railroad and industry is really a pretty huge and significant turning point in this book. Like you say, these are minor critiques nibbling around the edges,. But they matter in the sense that there's still parts of the story that he doesn't get into.
