Turning Pro Is a Way to Regain Symbolic Capital

Six out of seven players decided to turn pro after being dropped from the national team. The economic pressure of having to play or pay for events three or four fold more expensive than they were playing amateur golf. One of the main biggest changes for the guys was the change of coaching relationships. They all regret not sticking with one coach who is working with them rather than trying to chase perfection and work within the realms of what they could do physically and mentally.
