The Importance of Meditation
Most modern westerners know of meditation as a relaxation technique. But actual Buddhist meditation is far more intense than simply distressing oneself with fancy apps. Rigorous meditation involves sitting quietly and mercilessly observing yourself. In one meditates for long periods of time, all sorts of wacky shit comes up. This is why everyone is so bad at something seemingly so simple. People always lament that they're not good at meditation. There is no getting good. That's the whole point.
