The chinese had their own atonomous tradition about thinking about technology and science. And they managed to industrialize by relying on this low cost, labor intensive technologes. This is very different from what the global norse was suggesting, which was all about automation. But i am absolutely convinced that certain regions of the world, because they were forced to think about thesisus, got better account of tecnology than most of the marxes teris living in the global north.
